Thankful. Thankful for the many gifts and talents that our church has and shares with the world around us. We should be proud of the work that we have done because we can point at all of these things as evidence of God's love and presence with us. It is one thing to accomplish something great but it is that which sustains us when we acknowledge the strength and presence of God in our lives.
But, there is more. More that we can offer. More that we can add to the world. More that we can experience and share God in this world. Open your eyes to see God active and present in what we see and do everyday. God wants to be close to you, God wants our relationship to grow, and God is sending saints, sinners, prophets and friends to show us more grace.
We often forget in those special moments of blessing to remember that those moments aren't ours by right, they are gifts from God. The world will drain you. The demands, the losses, the powerlessness to protect our loved ones. God is there and if weren't for my brothers and sisters in Christ whom God has sent to me... well... it wouldn't be good. How about you? Do you recall a specific time when you were nourished by the love of God when you needed it?
